Arsenal's 22-year title drought officially ended in the early hours of May 20th, after direct title rivals Manchester City were held to a 1-1 draw by Bournemouth. This result, coupled with the Gunners' narrow 1-0 victory over Burnley in Matchday 37, allowed Mikel Arteta's men to extend their lead to four points, thereby securing the championship early regardless of the final round's outcome.

Arsenal won the Premier League

This marks the Emirates outfit's first Premier League title since the legendary "Invincibles" season of 2003-2004 under former manager Arsène Wenger. Over the past two decades, Arsenal have endured numerous ups and downs, frequently coming agonizingly close to the crown only to falter in the decisive stages. This latest triumph serves as a fitting reward for the persistence and astute direction of the club's hierarchy.

Arsenal's journey to the summit this season bore the hallmarks of resilience, pragmatism, and tactical discipline. Shifting away from the aesthetically pleasing but vulnerable style of previous years, Mikel Arteta has forged an exceptionally solid unit. At the conclusion of Matchday 37, Arsenal boasted the league's most formidable defense, having conceded a mere 26 goals. Notably, they ground out eleven 1-0 victories, a testament to the squad's remarkable ability to protect a lead and absorb intense pressure.

Beyond their defensive solidity, timely individual brilliance also proved pivotal in securing victories. Core players such as Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka, Kai Havertz, and Leandro Trossard maintained consistent form throughout. Most notably, new signing Viktor Gyokeres enjoyed an explosive debut season, leading the club's scoring charts with 14 goals and emphatically solving the target-man conundrum that had plagued Arsenal for years.

The moment the final whistle blew in the Manchester City fixture, a carnival atmosphere engulfed the streets of North London. Tens of thousands of Arsenal faithful spilled out to celebrate through the night. A host of club legends and prominent figures have been pouring out their congratulations to the club across various media platforms.

Arsenal are set to officially lift the prestigious Premier League trophy following their season finale against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. It promises to be a historic moment, signaling the return to the summit for one of English football's traditional powerhouses.
