Blackpink's Rosé has teamed up with American director Dave Meyers to shoot the music video for her upcoming song "New Trick" using Apple's iPhone 18 Pro.

The 29-year-old K-pop star released a teaser Thursday, appearing in a schoolgirl-inspired outfit and holding a purple lollipop stamped with "new trick" and "Shot on iPhone 18 Pro" in the courtyard of a mansion.

The video is part of Apple's "Shot on iPhone" campaign and was directed by Meyers, who previously helmed the video for Blackpink's chart-topping 2025 single "Jump," which has garnered more than 427 million YouTube views, The Korea Herald reported.

"New Trick" is scheduled for release on Sept. 18.

Rosé, who topped independent online ranking platform TC Candler's annual list of the world's 100 most beautiful female faces, told Vogue that she wrote the song days after attending the Met Gala in New York in May. The upbeat track marks a shift from the sadder material on her debut solo album "Rosie."

"Ultimately, we successfully wrote something so not sad, and I think it is possibly the cutest thing we’ve ever made together... Maybe Apt. is the cutest, but y’all can judge that for me!" she said.

While developing the song, she was reminded of the pop-rock tracks featured in Apple advertisements during the 2000s, which eventually led to her collaboration with the company and Meyers on the video.

She is among the first celebrities to try the 18 Pro, launched Thursday alongside the 18 Pro Max and Apple's first foldable iPhone, the Duo.

A major upgrade to the 18 Pro is its camera system. For the first time on an iPhone, Apple has introduced a variable aperture, which allows users to control how much light enters the camera and adjust how much of an image appears in focus.

Its 48-megapixel Fusion camera uses a six-blade, laser-cut aperture system. Users can select from four aperture settings or let the phone adjust the aperture automatically depending on the scene.

The feature can produce different levels of background blur and give users greater control when shooting video. The 18 Pro and Pro Max also use on-device AI to track moving subjects.
