August 31 marked Tim Cook's final day serving as Apple’s Chief Executive Officer. In a company-wide memo, he shared his reflections on a 15-year journey at the helm of the world's leading technology giant.

Cook succeeded Steve Jobs as CEO in August 2011. Under his leadership, Apple experienced exponential growth. The corporation introduced a suite of new flagship product lines—including the Apple Watch and AirPods—while aggressively expanding the iPhone, iPad, and Mac ecosystems.

In his farewell address, Cook expressed profound gratitude to the company's workforce, emphasizing that his personal success was fundamentally rooted in the team's dedication.

“Today is my last day as CEO of Apple. This is a moment I always knew would come. Even so, I still find it hard to believe this time has actually arrived as I write these words,” Cook wrote in his opening remarks.

He further affirmed that corporate culture and its people remain the core pillars of Apple's enduring strength.

“This place stands as a testament that culture prevails above all else. We share a conviction that what we create holds profound significance. We have both the opportunity and the responsibility to leave behind a world better than we found it,” Cook emphasized.

Reflecting on the spirit of collective unity, he echoed the sentiments of late CEO Steve Jobs.

“Together, we have built something far greater than anyone could have envisioned or achieved alone. That is the true secret to our success. Together, we have made a 'dent in the universe,' just as Steve once described.”

The position of Apple's new CEO will be assumed by John Ternus, with Cook expressing absolute confidence in his successor's capabilities.

“Very few individuals possess as deep an understanding of what it takes to build world-changing products as John does. I am incredibly eager and excited for his leadership,” Cook remarked regarding Apple's incoming chief executive.

While stepping down as CEO, Cook is not parting ways with the corporation. He will transition to the role of Executive Chairman. In this new capacity, he will continue to oversee international government relations, with a primary focus on navigating affairs with the U.S. and Chinese administrations.

This leadership transition is structured to ensure strategic stability for Apple. John Ternus will take the operational helm during a critical phase focused heavily on AI. Meanwhile, Cook will dedicate his attention to managing global geopolitical and diplomatic risks.
