The track was first teased earlier in the week via an Instagram post on April 7. The teaser featured brief but striking clips from the music video, along with a looping snippet of the song. Its official release came just ahead of Anyma’s upcoming headline set on the festival’s mainstage on April 10 and 17.
Blending melodic techno with pop influences, “Bad Angel” highlights the Italian-American DJ’s atmospheric electronic production. It also showcases the BLACKPINK star’s sleek vocal delivery. For LISA, the release marks another step in her evolution as a solo artist. Known globally as a member of BLACKPINK, she continues to expand her musical range, now exploring electronic and sonic textures.
In the accompanying music video, the chart-topping K-pop artist is portrayed as a half-humanoid moving through a digital dystopian world. Unhooking herself from wires, she soon undergoes a surreal transformation into a winged animatronic. The visuals are closely tied to Anyma’s live shows and artistic direction — offering a glimpse into what fans can expect from his Coachella set.
The collaboration’s timing has also generated buzz among Coachella festival-goers, fueling speculation that “Bad Angel” could be featured in his set. The possibility has heightened excitement around the release, especially with reports of LISA potentially making an appearance at the festival.
After two headline performances at Coachella, Anyma launches his ÆDEN World Tour across Asia, Europe, and North America. Running from May through December, the DJ will debut his new production, which fuses sci-fi and ancient mythology.
