With just days remaining until the upcoming product launch event, rumors surrounding the iPhone 18 Pro Max continue to surface, with anticipated color changes drawing significant attention. According to recent leaks, Apple may substantially overhaul the color palette for its next-generation Pro lineup.

A deep cherry red—also known as wine red—is expected to appear on the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max

Citing information from the Weibo account Fixed Focus Digital, Forbes reports that a deep cherry red—often referred to as burgundy—remains on the shortlist of options Apple is currently considering for the iPhone 18 Pro.

Notably, the standard silver option is reportedly on the chopping block. This development comes as a surprise, given earlier projections that silver would be retained as a staple colorway from the iPhone 17 Pro generation.

Should these reports prove accurate, the iPhone 18 Pro will undergo a significant aesthetic shift compared to its predecessor. Apple previously made waves by introducing "Cosmic Orange" to the iPhone 17 Pro, establishing a highly recognizable and distinct option compared to prior models.

Alongside the potential discontinuation of silver, Apple is reportedly weighing the reintroduction of a darker tone to the iPhone Pro series.

While black and Space Gray have featured across numerous past iPhone iterations, they have been conspicuously absent from recent Pro models. The revival of a darker hue could provide a more understated and familiar aesthetic for the iPhone 18 Pro.

If Apple opts for a dark gray rather than a true black, the move would align seamlessly with the Pro lineup's established design language, which has traditionally favored neutral palettes.

Another rumored option is a light blue. This shade has garnered particular attention due to its purported connection to the imagery featured on Apple's upcoming event invitations.

According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, the pale blue incorporated into the invitation's design may serve as a subtle hint regarding the colorways of Apple's imminent product lineup.

However, these reports remain rooted in leaks and speculation. Apple has yet to officially confirm the color palette for the iPhone 18 Pro.

Should current information hold true, the iPhone 18 Pro series will mark one of Apple's most significant color strategy adjustments in recent years. Rather than resting on familiar mainstays, the company appears poised to pivot toward fresh tones—such as deep cherry red, light blue, and a renewed dark option—establishing a distinct visual identity for this new generation of iPhones.
