Meta Chief AI Officer Alexandr Wang has unleashed an extraordinary social media blitz across the past three weeks, publishing over 350 posts on X that range from lighthearted memes to direct jabs at industry competitors.

Meta Chief AI Officer Alexandr Wang has published more than 350 posts on X in three weeks to promote Muse, mixing memes, user praise and jabs at rival AI products.

Muse launched on Sept. 8 as an autonomous assistant designed to handle everyday tasks such as booking flights and restaurants, shopping online, filling out forms and drafting emails.

The service also connects with platforms including Spotify, Instagram and OpenTable, and quickly climbed to the top of the U.S. App Store’s free-download chart, overtaking ChatGPT, according to CNBC.

Wang, 29, responded with an unusually aggressive social media campaign. In the first five days after launch, he posted more than 100 times, and by Sept. 27 his output had exceeded 350 posts, most of them focused on Muse, Business Insider reported.

The posts ranged from customer testimonials and announcements of integrations with Shopify, PayPal, Expedia and Instacart to jokes aimed at competitors.

In one post, Wang wrote that "Muse absolutely crushes Insect," a swipe at rival AI agent Instinct. In another, he highlighted data suggesting Muse had surpassed ChatGPT in daily active users in the U.S. and Canada.

The Muse mascot, a smiling sloth-like character, has become a central part of the campaign, appearing in memes and edited pop-culture images shared by Wang.

He also said the posts were written personally rather than by a corporate social media team.

Brand experts say the approach stands out because it deliberately avoids conventional corporate messaging and instead tries to push Muse into internet meme culture.

Wang is no stranger to high-profile tech success. He co-founded data company Scale AI in 2016 at age 19 and became the world’s youngest self-made billionaire in at 28.

Forbes currently estimates his net worth at about US$3.2 billion.
